So, at the beginning of this challenge, my goal was to lose body fat and maintain my lean muscle mass. Throughout this challenge, I still feel strong, I have lost a lot of fat, and feel lighter and am happy with my results. I’m a mommy to 3 under 5 years old, so I need good food to fuel me through my day with my little ones, work, housework, and my workouts.

I didn’t actually think this would work out, as well as it has. I’m in Phase 2 now and that means the program starts adding in a little bit more carbs. I have been feeling great and am very full and satisfied throughout the day. My husband and I decided to start a little garden and add more of the vegetables that we have all started to come to love as a result of using this program. Peppers, onions, and pumpkin are some of our favorites. (Even though pumpkins and peppers are technically a fruit)

The food list has to be my favorite resource. Understanding better food choices and having the simplicity of all the food categories in one spot is so helpful. Just because there is a food list doesn’t mean that whole food categories are off limits like other programs out there. Here is an awesome excerpt from Always Eat After 7PM.

“Fact is, most diets are extremely narrow with regard to food choices and variety, and many even limit entire macronutrients altogether over the course of the entire program (think low-carb and low-fat diets). Three months with no carbs? No thanks. Such practices not only are entirely unnecessary, but make for a miserable, unsustainable experience.”

Isn’t that the truth! The main reason I find myself falling away from diets is because of the lack of diversity, extreme strictness, and not having enough carbs and butter. 😉 We’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal

Cheesy Ground Beef Skillet. (Don’t assume that you can’t lose wight eating a meal like this!)

Doesn’t that look delicious? It is, Always Eat After 7 PM has a whole set of not your average diet book recipes. There are so many that taste great and leave you feeling satisfied after eating them.
