“Those who ate breakfast ended up eating about 260 calories more a day, the review found. Those who skipped breakfast were about one pound lighter than those who ate breakfast. These findings led the researchers to conclude that eating breakfast isn’t necessarily a good strategy for losing weight. The science isn’t really there. Breakfast could very well be the least important meal of the day.”
Here are just one of the myths that Joel Marion debunks! I have started to follow his program and have found it to work well for me. Intermittent fasting is a great way to keep the weight off. This is only one part of his program and I am happy to start implementing his weight-loss strategies.

Always Eat Author Questions and Answers
Q1: What inspired you to write the book?
After authoring 6 best selling books it was glaringly obvious there were 2 huge misconceptions about dieting that needed to be exposed. The first is that you can’t eat late at night or before bed, which science now shows is NOT true. And second, you can’t eat large portions that satisfy your natural instinct. This book solves both these problems by providing an evidence-based, enjoyable approach to dieting that can be used by any person to quickly achieve their weight loss goals.
Q2: You’re a six-time best selling author, what is different about this book compared to your others?
Although many of the concepts are similar, the biggest difference is that you don’t have to deprive yourself of your favorite foods. You don’t have to deal with the burden of eating every few hours. And you don’t have to skip the carbs at dinnertime or avoid eating before bed.
Q3: How difficult is the Always Eat After 7 PM plan to follow?
It’s not. And that’s exactly why I wrote the book. While any diet is never truly easy, it can be more enjoyable and much easier to adhere to when you understand how Always Eat After 7pm works because it caters to our body’s natural instincts.
Personal Experience:
I have been finding this program to be very simple and easy to stick to. One of my favorite parts was that you can eat chocolate every single day while losing weight! Portions are key and understanding that some foods are better for you at certain times than others was great to learn. I really enjoyed learning how to lose weight and eat nutritionally by paying attention to my portion sizes and making more informed decisions on my food choices.
I have to be honest, I found Phase 1 to be somewhat hard. I ended up feeling hungry and was not feeling very energetic but by the end of Phase 1 my body had adjusted and I felt lighter and more energetic. The first phase was somewhat more restrictive than I would like but is a lot less restrictive than other diets I’ve done in the past. This is just to jumpstart your weight loss and is NOT supposed to be the main phase of the weight loss journey. Some people can lose up to 1 lb. a week in Phase 1!
Losing weight so fast helps to encourage you to continue with your journey. I found that losing weight fast did help me to stay with this journey. After this phase, we go to the main phase where the portions are larger and a lot bigger choice selection for continued weight loss.
What about losing weight? I started losing about 1 to 1/2 a pound a day! I am very surprised at how fast I am losing weight. It has always been very hard for me to lose weight and keeping it off, so this came as a surprise to me. So, am I going to keep going? For sure, I’m so excited to see how much I can grow in understanding how my body reacts to food and make the best me there is.
Are you going to come along with me and start this journey? To learn more about the book and how to purchase here.
