Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners

Seriously? Eat after 7? Even the title of this book is a little bit of a red flag… right? Most people say that you shouldn’t eat after 7 or you would gain weight. Well, guess what? You can lose weight! There is so much evidence and scientific studies showing otherwise. This book has shown me that there are so many myths that people including myself, have accepted that just isn’t true about nutrition and losing body fat.

Why I chose this book. I hate diets. There I said it and I won’t take it back. This book hones in and makes sure you are eating right and not feeling deprived. This isn’t like other diets. Diets have always left me feeling hungry, tired, sometimes dizzy or nauseous, cold and I end up binge eating at some point in the process because I don’t feel good or there are special occasions and family events that come up. With all of these unpleasant symptoms in losing fat through diets, I feel like it has left me seeking elsewhere for a better way to find a better nutritional way of eating. Here is a quote from his book that I agree with completely, “Fact is, most diets are extremely narrow with regard to food choices and variety, and many even limit entire macronutrients altogether over the course of the entire program (think low-carb and low-fat diets). Three months with no carbs? No thanks. Such practices not only are entirely unnecessary, but make for a miserable, unsustainable experience.”

I am currently weight training 4 times a week. My goal isn’t exactly to lose weight through this process but to lose body fat and gain or at least maintain my lean muscle mass.

Always eat after 7 has a different approach, that I am excited to go through with you. So, how does this work?

WEEK 1&2: Well, we start out shedding quite a bit of weight the first 2 weeks, called the “Acceleration Phase”. Some people have lost up to 14lbs. the first two weeks! That is 1 pound a day! This is just for the first two weeks and then we head on to the next phase.

Week 3 to weight goal: The next phase is called the “Main Phase”. This is where we continue to lose body fat at a steady and consistent pace until we are at our goal weight.

Your weight goal maintained: “Lifestyle Phase” Here is you feeling your best, at your goal weight, choosing the best foods, and maintaining that goal.
